REV'IT! Women's TeamFollowing an extensive nation-wide call for candidates, REV’IT! has named two new members to its 2019 US Women’s ADV Team: Katelyn Barnecut and Kris Fant will join Erika Tango Bean, Amelia Kamrad and Jenna West to represent the brand for the 2019 season. 2019 REV'IT! Women's Team

Founded in 2017, the REV’IT! US Women’s Team was developed to spotlight the contributions of women to the ADV motorcycle segment. The search for riders in 2019 returned a record number of applicants, a testament to the growing number of women in the sport.

“As a brand, we are committed to designing protective gear made specifically for the needs of female riders, and we never ‘pattern down’ from men’s designs,” says Tracy Motz, Sr. Brand Manager at REV’IT! USA.  “The record number of applicants to the women’s team this year only underscores our belief that this is a robust, growing segment of the market and we are committed to learning how to serve the evolving needs.”

The REV’IT! US Women’s ADV Team will represent the brand individually at adventure events, rallies, trainings and dealer nights across the country, coming together for one main team event in the summer. In addition to amplifying the presence of the brand at on-site events, the five female ambassadors will also field-test gear to provide direct product feedback to REV’IT! designers located in Oss, The Netherlands.

2019 REV'IT! Women's TeamThe team’s collective riding résumé encompasses tens of thousands of miles through more than a dozen countries worldwide and over various terrain. The new members bring verve to an already impressive team.

Katelyn Barnecut

In 2011, Katelyn Barnecut (@distant.tracks) saved a pristine BMW F650GS from its tragic street life and unleashed the bike on nearly a decade of dust, mud and dirt track adventures. In riding motorcycles, she found the perfect link between outdoor adventure and world travel. Drawn by the simplicity and freedom of living off the bike, she feels there is no better way to explore both back home and around the globe. After recently completing a 13,000 mile ride across Africa, Katelyn is now living in Colorado chasing the high altitude tracks of the Rockies.

2019 REV'IT! Women's Team
Kris Fant (@freespiritpixie) started riding dirt and street separately in 2012, but combined the two into one with a dual sport in 2013.  Kris loves commuting to work on her DR650, going down unpaved Portland alleys on her way home, and hitting the trails on the weekend.  Doing BDR’s while camping off her bike with her husband nurtures her soul. She loves to tell people’s stories and to volunteer at events; read her work at www.womenadvriders.com, or say hello this summer at the Touratech Rally West or the 49er Rally!
